Quinoa Porridge

This easy to make quinoa breakfast is not limited to winter. It may be enjoyed cold throughout sumer. My tip is to get creative and try a few variations. 
Ingredients: serves 2
3/4 cup quinoa flakes
2 cups of water
Pinch of salt
1 diced pear
Coconut cream/ coconut yogurt
Raw honey
Coconut flakes
Add 3/4 cup of Quinoa flakes to 2 cups of rapidly boiling water 
Add pear, salt and a dash of cinnamon
Reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes 
Serve with a drizzle of honey, coconut flakes and a little coconut cream/ coconut yogurt 
You may replace pear with apple, berries or your choice of  seasonal fruit
If you are looking to bump up the protein level use natural yogurt instead of coconut cream
A mixture of seeds and nuts may replace or accompany the coconut flakes
